M. C. Escher Part 2

Dutch artist M. C. Escher's woodcuts and lithographs were often influenced by mathematical themes as shown in the slides shared at a recent conference.

The repeated geometric patterns with no gaps or overlaps, or tessellations, appear often in Ecsher's work.

Polyhedra were often subjects of his work, as were themes of infinity and impossible figures.

The sculpture shown was done as a tribute to the artist.
