Another book that helps stimulate the sense of wonder is David Schwartz's How Much is a Million? The book helps young people better understand the meaning of the magnitude of numbers. A follow-up book was If You Made a Million, another opportunity to expand a child's interest in large numbers.
Two sites that are of special to those interested in big numbers are linked below. The first is the U.S. Census Bureau's World and United States' population clock. Soon viewers will see the world's population clock click past seven billion.
The second site is the US debt clock. Sadly, it exceeds over $15.3 trillion. That means each citizen would need to put in nearly $50,000 to pay it off!
