Bigger Numbers

139,583,862,445 is a big number but far more are bigger. It's a special number and those who have followed this blog can probably guess why I deem it special. Of course you can always wait until tomorrow's post.

The past few days have focused on big numbers and yesterday the following site was introduced to me. Take a moment and check the site out and be intrigued by the nature of really big numbers. The site provides a wealth of examples of big numbers found in the news. One example is the question posed regarding the price paid for a Jackson Pollack piece shown here (which is only 1/1000th the number mentioned above, but it is still a mighty big number!).

You've gotta love it.
